Feudalism sure made it hard to make a buck, back when. In Kingdom Come: Deliverance, you play Henry, a low-class punk that lost everything. Too bad for you, losing everything makes money a real concern in medieval Bohemia, and without any clear means to make it early on, times are going to be tough. That is, unless you’re willing to do a little dirty work. If you really can’t wait to stock up on Saviour Schnapps or want better armor, now, then follow our tips for making money as a nobody in Kingdom Come’s early hours.
Pay Theresa's uncle ASAP
Once you wake up in Rattay, you'll be in debt to the miller that paid your medical expenses and housed you during your recovery. You can pay the guy or do him a favor. Opt to do him the favor, even if it sounds a bit unsavory for a good lad like Henry. Dark times call for dark measures. Once you find the ring and deliver it, you'll unlock a merchant that buys stolen goods and a thievery questline. Get rich while taking the nobles down a notch. A fair exchange. Just be sure to maintain a good reputation in Rattay, otherwise guards will search your person every time you’re in town, confiscating all your stolen goods. If this happens, just bribe them. You’ll make up for it in no time.
Rob the nobles in Rattay for some easy money
For some easy access to valuable goods you can pinch some of the fancy folks’ goods pretty easily in Rattay. Just wander the bedrooms and offices above the armorer’s place and you can find pricey garments all over the place. You’ll need a lockpick or three and to watch your back, but there aren’t many people that wander through the area during the day. You won’t even need to trespass for a good portion of the items. Take your stolen goods to one of the miller merchants and flip ‘em for the good stuff.
Go bandit huntin’
Once you have a horse you’ll be able to hoard quite a bit more junk from adventuring than before. Reserve that extra space for items you strip from dead men. And if you need to expedite the process of stealing items from dead men (and don’t have any pressing quests) just fast travel between two points that take you through a dark and dangerous forest. Bandits will strike sooner or later, at which point you can kill them, strip them of their valuables (and ears, but we’ll get to that) and sell the junk to a merchant. Don’t get too cocky though. If you’re looking outnumbered, just hoof it on your horse and roam for a smaller, more manageable pack of meanies.
Highway robbery
If you see a traveler in the wilds, called wayfarers in-game, choke ‘em out and they’ll always have 15-30 groschen, decent armor, and some food on them. Just make sure nobody’s watching and it’s a good way to fill your purse early in the game. To choke someone, creep up behind them while crouching and hit F.
Sell.. 'trophies'
If you kill a Cuman (the yellow-cloaked warriors with the funky helmets who attacked Henry’s village) they’ll drop an ear. And Sir Robard, the old knight who hangs out in Talmberg, will buy them off you for a decent sum. You’ll need a dagger in your inventory to harvest ears, but they go for about a dozen groschen at most arms dealers.
There’s also Captain Bernard near the combat yard in Rattay, who will give you bandit bounties, small side quests where you rid the land of ne'er-do-wells in return for some good groschens. The guy takes ears too, so, a successful bandit-killing mission paired with an ear harvest can net you a couple hundred coin per mission. Just don’t expect them to go down easy. Invest in some Saviour Schnapps to make some convenient save points with all that extra dough you’re bringing in.
In a game this big and complex, we're sure there are plenty more ways to make a buck. If we find them we'll be sure to share the wealth.

Money can be hard to come by in Kingdom Come: Deliverance, especially for a simple son of a blacksmith like Henry. You’ll need frugal spending habits if you want to purchase better gear or get trained in skills like how to read and how to brew potions. You can’t even clean your clothes at the local Bathhouse without being asked to fork over some Groschen. Though you won’t really have a steady income, there are a few ways that you can make a quick buck when necessary. Follow the steps in this guide for tips on how to make money fast in Kingdom Come: Deliverance.
Get Good at Stealing
One of the best ways to earn money fast in Kingdom Come: Deliverance is to get good at stealing, whether that be through lockpicking chests or pickpocketing strangers. Increasing these stats will allow you to get better at stealing, which can help you make money fast if you know where to pilfer.
Part of what makes stealing so effective is your ability to sell stolen goods to certain merchants. Of course, none of this will be possible if you don’t pay back Miller Peshek in Rattay for taking you in and footing your medical bills, so focus on repaying your debt to him first.
To repay Miller Peshek, you can either pay back with Groschen or do him a favor. We suggest the latter, as this unlocks The Good Thief side quest, which will eventually allow you to sell stolen items. Peshek can also help train you in pickpocketing and lockpicking to help you hone your thievery skills.
Take From The Rich
Following up from the previous tip, one of the best ways to make money fast in Kingdom Come: Deliverance is by stealing from the rich folks in town. Not only are rich citizens more likely to have a decent chunk of change in their pockets, but they also have plenty of valuable items back at home, too.
Track down where a noble lives and break into their house using your lockpicking skills. Make sure you’ve got some lockpicks to spare so that you can open any chests you find inside and steal their contents.
If you’re going on a thieving spree in a major town, stay on the lookout for security guards. Guards will occasionally come up to search you if they think you’re up to something fishy, especially if you have a poor reputation. This can land you in hot water, so try not to get caught with stolen goods in your pockets.
Highway Robbery
If you’d rather not steal from the folks in Rattay, you can always target roadside travelers instead. When trekking the roads between major towns, you’ll come across Wayfarers who usually carry some Groschen on them.
Sneak up behind an unsuspecting traveler and knock them out, making sure there are no guards around first. You don’t have to kill them to search their pockets and steal their goods. Remember, items you don’t need can always be sold to merchants and fencers to make money in Kingdom Come: Deliverance.
Become an Ear Salesman
Okay, this one is a bit odd, but it’s better than robbing the good people of Rattay blind whenever you need some coin. Sir Robard in Talmberg will pay you for bringing him the ears of yellow-armored Cumans. Meanwhile, in Rattay, Captain Bernard is willing to pay you a pretty penny each time you bring him the ears of bandits.
You must first obtain a dagger and keep it in your inventory before you can start cutting off the ears of Cumans and bandits for money. Collecting ear trophies can be a very lucrative enterprise, as both Sir Robard and Captain Bernard are willing to pay a decent price per ear. Everything has a price in Kingdom Come: Deliverance, and the ears of criminals are no exception.
Practice Haggling
For a more noble approach to making money in Kingdom Come: Deliverance, you can always work on your haggling skills. Haggling can be a great way to not only save money, but also earn money as well. Buying goods on the cheap and then reselling them at a higher price will allow you to turn a profit, earning you more Groschen over time. Practice your hustle and increase your haggling skill to make money fast in Kingdom Come: Deliverance.
These tactics may be a bit unsavory, but they will undoubtedly help you make money fast in Kingdom Come: Deliverance. For more useful tips and tutorials, check out our guides on where to find the spade, get the Talmberg armor set, and romance some lovely ladies.

Access the Kingdom Come: Deliverance console commands to manipulate the medieval RPG to your needs.
Kingdom Come: Deliverance is already proving pretty divisive among fans, with good ideas seemingly hampered by poor execution.
While the setting, environment and story are all being praised, the technical execution is poor. The game launched riddled with issues, including problems with quests bugs that took two weeks or more to be fixed.
There are also problem with a difficult lock picking system on consoles, and an awkward save system. Although that can be gotten around with a simple mod.
However, if you’re playing on PC you have access to the console commands. It’s here you can manipulate some variables although it’s worth noting that a lot of the most common commands have been removed for the final release.

There are still plenty of helpful commands though, like the “showfirecursor” command is incredibly useful during the Baptism of Fire and All that Glisters main quests.

Kingdom Come Deliverance money and item cheats
These cheats were available during the beta tests but have since been disabled for the proper release. Considering how buggy this game is, it wouldn’t surprise us if the money cheat and the item cheat were re-enabled at some point soon. So we’ve decided to list them here for when that day comes.
- wh_cheat_money X – Adds money to your inventory. Replace XX with the amount of money required.
- wh_cheat_addItem X – Adds the specified item (replace XX with the item ID) to your inventory.

Today's best Kingdom Come: Deliverance deals
We check over 130 million products every day for the best prices
The Holy Roman Empire of Kingdom Come: Deliverance is a dangerous place, and you’ll need all the coin you can get. Not only is coin useful for purchasing all the basics any RPG protagonist requires, you’ll also need plenty of coin if you want to save your progress easily. Coin is pretty important, and there’s no simple method for getting super-rich (that we know of yet…) so until then, here are six simple ways you can earn cash quickly in Kingdom Come.
Naturally, coin is in pretty low supply. This isn’t Skyrim, it’s meant to represent a more historically accurate version of the past, even if that still means you’ll be cutting down dozens of bandits and selling their ears to the local knighthood for petty cash. Killing bandits isn’t the only way to work toward a steady supply of riches — you can always resort to robbery, too.

#1: Unlock the Stolen Goods Fence Early
The town of Rattay seems to be a pretty upstanding place, but if you want to earn lots of cash, you’ll need a fence to sell stolen goods. To do that, you’ll want to repay the miller’s debt with a favor. Don’t give him cash! Do a dirty deed and steal a ring — it sounds pretty bad, but if you’re careful, you can stay in good standing with the local guards. Just don’t get caught!
Completing the miller’s dept with a favor will unlock the stolen goods fence. Now you can sell anything that isn’t nailed down.
If you’re in bad standing, guards will search you for stolen goods whenever you enter town. It’s pretty annoying, so prepare some bribery money to make passage into Rattay smoother.
#2: Robbery For Quick Cash
There are multiple ways to rob people in Rattay and the surrounding streets. Bring lockpicks and explore the living areas above merchant shops, or simply enter the nicer-looking houses of Rattay and pick the places clean. Surprisingly, it’s actually easier to rob many of these locations during the day while the occupants are out doing business.
The armorer’s house is a good place to start. Just lift what you need, then book it back to the miller’s stolen good fences to make a tidy profit for your dirty deeds.
#3: Becoming A Bandit
When you’re not skulking around town stealing from the good people of Rattay, you can explore the roads in the areas between villages and castles. You’ll often encounter NPCs called Wayfarers. These are travelers — and they’re great marks for a stick-up job.
Get behind a Wayfarer and choke them to knock them out. You don’t have to kill them! Just do it away from towns (and guards) or you’ll be in big trouble. Rob them blind — they’re usually carrying 15~ coins, and their clothes can be sold, too.
#4: …or Fighting Bandits
Talk to Captain Bernard in Rattay to begin bandit hunting side-quests. These simple jobs will send you to different bandit camps — and you’re free to kill these guys without getting into trouble. Not only do bandits carry valuable items you can sell to any reputable merchant in Rattay, but completing the work itself will earn you some extra coins, too.
Or, you can simple fast-travel with your horse between populated areas. Gangs of bandits will randomly attack — if it looks like you can take them, wipe the group out and collect their belongings (and the gold in their pockets) before returning to safety and selling.
#5: Grab A Dagger And Sell Ears
Ears are another valuable resource you can collect from bandits and other unsavory characters in the Holy Roman Empire. Captain Bernard in Rattay will pay you for each bandit ear you bring back — Sir Robard in Talmberg Castle will pay for those yellow-clad Cuman’s ears.
To harvest ears, you’ll need to purchase and keep a dagger in your inventory. It’s a worthwhile purchase, because Sir Robard and Captain Bernard offer good sums for hunting their enemies. You’ll be fighting lots of bandits and Cuman already on your quest for revenge, so might as well sell those ears for bonus spending money.
